Job summary

Lilly is seeking scientists to support biologics manufacturing transfer from development labs to production. The role involves translating process knowledge, conducting data‑driven trials, and ensuring readiness for early‑phase cGMP API manufacturing.

Collaboration with operations, process engineering, and quality is essential. Responsibilities include data presentation, lab notebook maintenance, and preparing technical documentation for transfers.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biological Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in biologics upstream and/or manufacturing API environments.
• Role will require onsite presence.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Translate research/ development process information into production scale with operations and quality.
• Support tech transfer and troubleshooting on the floor to enable early‑phase cGMP API manufacturing.
• Perform scale‑down and scale‑up studies to ensure plant readiness and evaluate new tech.
• Document: tech transfer plans, SOPs, batch records, deviation reports, and campaigns.
