Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Advisor for upstream process development to advance bioproduct active pharmaceutical ingredient programs, including cell line development, process definition, and transfers to pilot and manufacturing sites. The role emphasizes collaboration with BR&D, Discovery, and Manufacturing teams and authoring regulatory documentation.

The candidate will design experiments, interpret data, and drive process innovations while ensuring adherence to GMP, GLP, and Regulatory standards.

Qualifications

PhD in Microbiology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or closely related STEM discipline.
0–3 years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
Extensive experience designing experiments and interpreting data.
Strong written and oral communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, execute and interpret upstream development experiments for bioproduct API generation.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and drive innovative projects.
Collaborate with BR&D, Discovery, and Manufacturing teams on process development and transfers.
Author technical reports and regulatory sections for submissions.
Engage with external partners on collaborations and outsourcing efforts.
Ensure compliance with Development Quality, Regulatory, HSE, GLP and GMP requirements.
