Syngene International Ltd. seeks a Director of Business Development for Biologics on the East Coast U.S. (Boston Area).

The role focuses on owning regional P&L, driving revenue growth, and building long‑term biotech partnerships across CLD, development, tech transfer, and GMP manufacturing. You will lead high‑value opportunities, manage senior client relationships, and coordinate with U.S. and India teams to deliver client‑centric solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field; MBA/PhD desirable.
• Subject matter expert in commercial life sciences with foundational CDMO sales experience in biologics.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow the region with accountability for revenue, pipeline, and new business closures across early‑stage and late‑stage opportunities.
• Lead complex deal cycles end‑to‑end: prospecting, RFx, solutioning, proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Build and expand biotech and pharma client relationships as the primary commercial interface with strong stakeholder trust.
• Drive new customer acquisition through targeted outreach, conferences, and inbound lead conversion in coordination with sales and marketing.
• Partner with global scientific, technical, and delivery teams (U.S. & India) to craft differentiated client‑centric solutions.
• Maintain pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy, and Salesforce discipline with weekly updates.
• Collaborate across scientific, operations, finance, legal, and project management to align expectations.
• Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and identify opportunities to enhance long‑term account growth.
• Drive timely RFx and proposal execution with global teams, while negotiating contracts with rigorous commercial standards.
