Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Shrewsbury, MA is seeking a Sample Management Technician to handle shipping, receiving, and storage of biological specimens. You will manage inventory, prepare samples for analysis, and ensure accurate documentation using LIMS or manual records.

The role involves packaging samples for domestic and international shipments and coordinating with sponsors and carriers as needed. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and about 1 year of life science lab

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: 1 year related life science lab experience preferred.
Must be detail oriented with good verbal and written communication.
Familiarity with lab procedures; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Handle the shipping, receiving, distributing, and storing of biological specimens.
Log samples in and out of storage; prepare samples for analysis and direct them to the appropriate area.
Prepare shipping documentation and assist with domestic and international packages per guidelines.
Maintain storage charts and documentation; notify relevant directors and sponsors with tracking numbers.
