Proclinical seeks a Sample Management Coordinator to support inventory management and storage of gene therapy materials. The role involves coordinating samples, shipments, and long-term GMP storage with external partners in a hybrid Massachusetts setting.

The candidate will work with external storage partners and labs to ensure compliant testing and shipments, handle cryogenic conditions, and maintain accurate inventory records for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample logistics, acting as main contact for submissions, inventories, and shipment coordination with external partners.
• Support sample submissions for stability protocols and shipments to GMP storage sites.
• Manage shipment coordination between external partners, including CDMOs, CTLs, and biostorage locations.
• Assist with biorepository consolidation tasks and stability coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely testing and shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and provide updates on inventory management progress.
• Handle cold material storage and shipping, including cryogenic conditions.

Sample Management Coordinator - Contract - Massachusetts, US

Ready to play a key role in coordinating the samples, shipments, and storage solutions that keep cutting-edge gene therapy programmes moving forward?

Proclinical is seeking a Sample Management Coordinator to support inventory management and streamline the storage of gene therapy R&D and CMC development materials.

The position is hybrid, requiring approximately 1-2 days per week on-site in Massachusetts, with occasional travel to external partner sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be involved in working with external storage partners and contract testing labs, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and regulatory guidelines.

Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with biological sample shipment and coordination, including international shipments and cryogenic conditions.
• Ability to safely lift up to 25 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• Familiarity with biological materials such as plasmids, cell samples, protein samples, and cell lines.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior colleagues and external partners.
• Cold material handling and small-volume cryogenic shipping experience preferred.

The Sample Management Coordinator's responsibilities will be:
