Job summary

Charles River Laboratories in Michigan is hiring for a Sample Management/General Laboratory support role. The position supports receipt, login, distribution, and disposal of materials for Laboratory Sciences disciplines, working under GxP and SOP guidelines.

The role requires basic office skills, ability to learn a validated system, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Mattawan, MI with a shift differential on the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels inside and outside the organization.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer skills, commensurate with Essential Functions, including the ability to learn a validated system.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently performs and documents procedures per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Upholds archive security and maintains integrity of archived materials.
• Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication with peers and supervisor.
• Develops critical thinking, troubleshooting and time management skills.
• Performs disposition of expired general laboratory reagents/solutions with oversight.
• Receives/logs supplies and assists with inventory of laboratory consumables.
