Job summary

Charles River Laboratories is seeking a Sample Management Technician I for our Safety Assessment site in Reno, Nevada. You will perform a wide variety of basic laboratory support tasks, maintain inventory, prepare materials for reagent receipt and storage, and assist in shipping of materials while following GLP, GCP and SOPs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and basic computer skills including MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Detail oriented with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and SOPs.
• May perform other related duties as assigned and assist in data and record keeping.
• Prepare materials required for reagent receipt and storage; package reagents for shipping.
• Assist in maintenance of general laboratory supply inventory and reagents.
