Job summary

Natera is seeking a Bioinformatics Manager to lead a team focused on ctDNA-based diagnostic product development. The role requires guiding computational scientists and collaborating with biostatistics, molecular biology, software engineering and commercial teams through design, validation and launch.

Ideal candidates have a strong bioinformatics/data science background, business acumen, and a track record in leading technical teams and contributing to IP in the diagnostics space.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (bioinformatics, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or similar).
• 4–8 years of post-graduate data science/bioinformatics experience and 1–3 years as technical lead.
• Experience moving algorithm-based products through commercialization in diagnostics or related field.
• 1–2 years of management leading a technical team with proven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for product development projects and drive validation and launch.
• Optimize workflows, improve tools, and test analysis pipelines for diagnostic tests.
• Supervise bioinformatics and data science staff and develop their skills.
• Input in experiment design, analysis and interpretation using mathematical principles.
• Work independently and contribute to IP and documentation.
