Job summary

Natera seeks a Lead Bioinformatics Scientist to lead analytical validation, real-world evidence studies, and development of pipelines for oncology-focused NGS assays. You will collaborate with wet-lab, biostatistics, clinical, and regulatory teams to translate complex multi-source data into actionable insights.

The role emphasizes building tools and pipelines, contributing to regulatory submissions, and guiding product development with deep oncology and NGS expertise.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in bioinformatics (or related field) with 10+ years post-graduate experience or PhD with 5+ years (preferred).
• Experience with NGS data analysis, including WES/WGS/targeted sequencing.
• Knowledge of regulatory submissions and clinical study support.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical validation strategy for NGS-based assay and design feasibility studies.
• Drive real-world evidence studies demonstrating clinical utility for therapy selection.
• Build rapid pipelines for multi-product data integration.
• Develop algorithms and tools to support new products and production pipelines.
• Act as internal consultant on bioinformatics methods for other teams.
• Collaborate with assay development, engineering, biostatistics, clinical, regulatory, and lab ops teams.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and scientific publications.
