Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a scientific or engineering discipline with up to 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with operation and maintenance of laboratory test systems and equipment.
• Familiarity with aerosol generation and sampling methods (air flow measurement, sampler efficiency, particle size).
• Proficiency in data analysis (Python or R); LabVIEW experience desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication; solid organizational skills.
• Knowledge of biosafety, biosurety, and containment procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support studies on airborne transmission of pathogens and evaluation of sampling technologies.
• Contribute in cross-functional teams with Aerobiology, Virology/Toxinology, and veterinary staff.
• Perform routine work under close supervision with detailed instructions.
• Develop, validate, and maintain methods for identifying and characterizing biological threat agents.
• Maintain records, follow SOPs, and contribute to quality management processes.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies and protocols.
