Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in a scientific discipline with minimum 6 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Experience with standard bacteriological methods including phenotypic, biochemical, and/or molecular analysis of bacterial agents.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis of bacteriological samples using standard techniques (plating, Gram staining, colony counting) and phenotypic, biochemical, or genetic analyses.
• Helps develop, validate, and maintain methods for identifying and characterizing biological threat agents.
• Provides technical support to multiple bacteriology projects and may mentor staff on procedures and SOPs.
