Qualifications

• BS in a scientific discipline with 6+ years of related experience or MS with 4+ years.
• Experience with standard bacteriological methods including phenotypic, biochemical, and/or molecular analysis.
• Experience in workflow management and lab safety in containment environments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of biosurety, decontamination and quality systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bacteriological samples using standard methods and documentation.
• Develop, validate, and maintain methods for identifying biological threat agents.
• Provide technical support to multiple bacteriology and aerobiology projects.
• Mentor staff and coordinate day‑to‑day project logistics.
• Update SOPs, write drafts of technical reports, and ensure records.
• May serve as Lab Space Manager or BSAT designee.
• Adapt to new assignments while managing resources efficiently.
• Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies and protocols.
