Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements.
• Must be able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits in combining machines.
• Skill in using the full range of standard and specialized tools and devices to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
• Knowledge of complex bindery machines and folding units to perform standard and specialized folds.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines and finishing equipment.
• Direct crew through all aspects of production and monitor quality, output and productivity.
• Inspect equipment for safety and ensure proper operation of bindery lines.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a single machine and optimize throughput.
