Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons seeks an experienced bindery operator to set up and run a range of binding equipment, including perfect binders and auxiliary machines. You will adjust machines, monitor quality and productivity, and guide a crew through all production steps.

Responsibilities include ensuring safe operation, mentoring new staff, and maintaining dimensional accuracy across printed materials. A strong emphasis on teamwork and adherence to procedures is required.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating bindery equipment (folding, collating, cutting)
• Ability to adjust machines to weight, size, and color requirements
• Proven ability to monitor quality, output, and productivity
• Experience mentoring and training new and existing staff to follow policies
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to EEO guidelines

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines
• Inspect equipment for safety issues
• Operate adhesive binding machines and manage related process stations
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a machine
• Direct crew through all production aspects
• Monitor quality, output and productivity
