Job summary

RR Donnelley & Sons is seeking a Bindery Operator to set up and run a range of bindery machines, inspect equipment and lead a crew on the shop floor. You will ensure safety, quality and efficiency across multiple stations and adjust procedures as needed to meet production targets.

The role requires strong technical aptitude with bindery equipment, the ability to read production instructions, and hands-on tool use to maintain accuracy and output.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of setup and operation of bindery equipment and related processes.
• Ability to identify paper weights, sizes, and color variations affecting performance.
• Skill in adjusting machines and using hand tools to maintain accuracy.
• Experience reading and following production instructions for multiple stations.
• Capable of interpreting specifications to maintain dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate bindery machines across stations.
• Inspect equipment for safety and performance prior to production.
• Direct crew through production and monitor output quality.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations and keep flow smooth.
