Job summary

RRD is seeking a qualified Bindery Operator in the Production & Manufacturing department to set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment, including folders, cutters, stitchers, and binding machines. You will oversee multiple stations, ensure safety, and coordinate crew through production while maintaining quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong knowledge of bindery processes, ability to interpret work orders, and hands-on skills with finishing equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret work orders with bindery specs.
• Able to calculate distances, clearances, and fits for machines.
• Skilled in setting up and adjusting bindery equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of various bindery machines and finishing processes.
• Knowledge of paper stock types and finishing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment (folders, cutters, stitchers).
• Operate multi-function automatic bindery machines for final books and catalogs.
• Inspect equipment for safety and maintain performance.
• Coordinate and direct crew across production stages.
• Monitor quality, output, and productivity throughout shift.
