Qualifications

• Must understand setup, adjustment, and operation of bindery equipment to produce finished products.
• Knowledge of paper weights, sizes, colors, and condition effects on machinery.
• Ability to use standard and specialized tools to maintain machines.
• Skill in adjusting powered machines with hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, punches, knives).
• Ability to read and interpret work orders to maintain dimensional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate binders with multiple stations handling collated sheets or signatures.
• Make adjustments to coordinate multiple work stations on a machine.
• Direct production crew through all aspects of production.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
