Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of setup, adjustment, and operation of bindery equipment.
• Understanding paper weights, sizes, and colors for machine adjustments.
• Ability to use hand tools to adjust bindery machines.
• Skill operating folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, binding/gluing machines.
• Ability to read instructions for sequence of machine operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust and operate a variety of auxiliary binding machines.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues.
• Operate perfect binders with multiple stations.
• Adjust to coordinate multiple work stations on a machine.
• Direct crew through all production steps.
• Monitor quality, output and productivity.
