Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Integrated Construction Coordinator I to coordinate VDC processes, support BIM/VDC activities, and serve as the point of contact for the construction team on VDC reports across project phases.

The role emphasizes detail orientation, understanding of construction practices, and proficient use of Microsoft Office and BIM/VDC tools. A valid driver’s license is required, with growth through Mortenson’s delivery team programs.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field.
• Completion of beginner or intermediate level of BIM/VDC software training.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level.
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
• Previous related internship experience a plus.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and coordinate VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms.
• May include, but is not limited, to Mortenson BIM/VDC utilizes existing conditions modeling, cost estimation, phase planning (4D), site analysis, design reviews, 3D visualization, 3D coordination, site utilization planning, construction system design, digital fabrication, 3D control planning, and record modeling.
• Provide point of contact for construction team members on VDC processes and reports during all phases of construction.
• Document work process as it relates to enhancing and/or changing current company process standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• All integrated construction team members are expected to be active participants in Mortenson’s Integrated Delivery Advancement Team community of practice – Knowledge sharing.
• Daily work planning.
