Job summary

Neilsoft is seeking a BIM Modeler - Electrical for on-site work in Canton, MI or Toronto, Canada. The role offers a long-term career path with a strong emphasis on BIM/VDC for electrical design and shop drawings.

You will model electrical systems using Revit MEP, manage coordination through Navisworks, and contribute to constructability and data environment processes in a dynamic, multinational team.

Qualifications

• Formal college diploma/degree in Electrical or relevant field
• Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks is required
• LOD 300/400 modeling experience for design/trade models
• Electrical construction & shop drawings documentation experience
• Knowledge of constructability and common data environments

Responsibilities

• Model electrical systems in Revit MEP and integrate with Navisworks for clash detection
• Create/design electrical shop drawings and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure constructability and data consistency
• Participate in BIM coordination tasks using BIMTRACK, BIM 360, and related tools

Qualification:

Formal college diploma / degree and / or relevant trade / professional experience, Electrical Engineering (preferred)

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Engineers with experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and Autodesk Navisworks. Experience with Evolve will be an added advantage.

2. Experience with modeling at LOD 300/ 400 for design / trade models

3. Experience in Electrical construction & shop drawings creation/Documentation.

5. Basic knowledge of constructability

6. Experience of working on Common data environments

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Clash co-ordination tools like – BIMTRACK, BIM 360 issues, Revitzo, Newforma etc.

2. Knowledge of mostly used Electrical Engineering design concepts, practices, & procedures.

3. Experience with modelling of Electrical LV & ELV services

4. Experience in Electrical construction & shop drawings creation/Documentation.

5. Experience in Electrical equipment & services hanger/support modelling.

6. Experience in reading & interpreting material submittals ( Cut sheets) for equipment's & Electrical services materials

7. Experience in Parametric Revit Family creation.
