Job summary

American Society of Interior Designers, Inc is seeking a Sr. BIM Designer to develop high-quality electrical models and drawings for large-scale projects across multiple offices.

The role emphasizes Revit, AutoCAD, and coordination with design teams to ensure clash-free documentation and constructability. The candidate will manage field coordination, production of BOMs, and support for power and lighting design on commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects, with ongoing career growth

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of electrical BIM/design experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, ACC, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Solid understanding of NEC and ability to read electrical drawings.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Create construction documents, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
  • Coordinate with project teams, design professionals, and trade partners to identify and resolve clashes.
  • Produce detailed installation and coordination drawings for field operations.
  • Conduct field surveys and document existing site conditions when necessary.
  • Create prefab drawings, fabrication details, and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Support electrical power and lighting layouts, circuiting, switching, and design efforts.
  • Respond to construction administration requests and drawing revisions throughout project life cycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Preferred Experience
  • Evolve software experience.
  • Data center, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction experience.
  • Experience supporting prefabrication and constructability initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000 - $110,000+ (depending on experience)
