Job summary

MMR Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator in Montgomery, AL to design and coordinate 3D models, shop drawings, and as-builts. You will collaborate with trades, ensure NEC compliance, and translate designs into actionable plans on construction sites.

The role requires proficiency in MEP REVIT, strong Excel skills, and meticulous attention to detail to manage complex coordination tasks across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred.
• Experience as a BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler.
• Proficient in MEP REVIT and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Design models (coordination, shop drawings and as-builts).
• Assist with system design, model all content, and coordinate with other trades.
• Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment within job specs.
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Read contract documents detailing scope of work.
• Read one-lines and panel schedules for 3D modeling execution.
• Work with site foremen to translate modeled work into buildable environment.
• Review drawings for conflicts with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm and structural docs.
• Coordinate RFIs with project management for issue resolution.
• Coordinate draft drawings with other trades for clear routings and no obstructions.
• Perform site surveys and field measurements to support design drawings.
• Review submittals for accuracy and maintain logs for RFIs/transmittals/drawings.
• Identify and resolve issues with clients, architects, engineers, owners, vendors.
• Work with point cloud files and survey points to provide as-built conditions.
