Job summary

MMR Group in Montgomery, AL seeks a BIM Coordinator to design models and coordinate with trades to prepare 3D representations and as-builts. This role supports site teams by resolving conflicts in drawings and ensuring compliance with codes and project specs.

The ideal candidate has experience as a BIM Coordinator or Modeler, proficiency in REVIT for MEP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to deliver accurate drawings with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience as BIM Coordinator, Detailer, or Modeler.
• Proficient in MEP REVIT and Excel.
• High school diploma or GED; associates degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design models (coordination, shop drawings and as-builts).
• Assist with system design and coordinate the model with other trades.
• Prepare sketches showing wiring and equipment locations.
• Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes.
• Read and comprehend contract documents detailing scope of work.
• Read one-lines, panel schedules, etc. to execute 3D modeling.
• Work with site foremen to ensure clarity for constructed modeled work.
• Review construction drawings for conflicts and code compliance.
• Coordinate draft construction drawings with other trades to ensure routings and clearances.
• Perform site surveys and field measurements as needed.
• Review submittal documents for accuracy.
• Maintain logs for RFIs, transmittals, and drawings.
• Identify and resolve issues with clients, architects, engineers, building owners and vendors.
• Work with point cloud files and survey points to provide as-built conditions.
