Job summary

Stantec’s Chandler, AZ Mining group is seeking a BIM/CAD Project Design Lead to support feasibility studies, detailed engineering, and construction-phase projects for underground and surface mining operations. You will help establish project design workflows, implement BIM/CAD standards, and deliver high-quality models, drawings, and packages.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in engineering design, BIM, CAD, or digital project delivery.
• 5+ years with BIM/CAD technologies in a multidisciplinary project environment.
• Experience with mining/heavy industrial projects is preferred.
• BIM certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design production and interdisciplinary coordination on mining projects.
• Develop and implement BIM/CAD standards and workflows.
• Prepare 3D models and design packages using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and quality objectives.
• Mentor junior designers in modeling techniques and content creation.
• Support BIM/CAD training and knowledge sharing with the team.
