Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Billing Development Lead to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of firmwide billing processes and technology. You will coordinate with Accounting, Billing, IT, and other stakeholders to deliver projects, document requirements, test solutions, and ensure successful adoption across offices.

The role requires 7+ years in billing or financial operations, strong Excel skills, and experience with billing software.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in business, accounting, finance or related field.
Experience evaluating business processes and leading improvements.
Experience with billing systems or technology implementations.

Responsibilities

Lead billing development projects and workstreams from planning through implementation.
Evaluate billing processes, conduct root cause analysis, and implement improvements.
Serve as SME on billing technology and guide Billing personnel.
Partner with Firmwide Accounting and Billing to develop procedures and training.
Support billing system implementations, conversions, and upgrades.
Collaborate with Billing, IT, and clients to resolve issues and support initiatives.
Develop onboarding and training for Billing personnel and contribute to global training.
Maintain Billing Knowledge Base and process documentation.
