Southern Tire Mart is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to prepare, review, and issue accurate customer invoices in a timely manner. You will maintain customer accounts, verify charges, credits, and adjustments, and support month-end closing with reliable reporting.

In this on-site role in Memphis, you will collaborate with departments to ensure billing accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business preferred.
• Previous billing, accounting, or clerical experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with billing software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Verify billing data, ensuring all charges, credits, and adjustments are properly applied.

• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections when necessary.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies or customer inquiries.
• Generate billing reports and support month-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
