LHH is assisting in recruiting a Billing Specialist for a Knoxville-based organization. The role focuses on accurate invoicing, maintaining customer accounts, and supporting the revenue cycle in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in billing or AR, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems, coupled with excellent communication and organizational abilities to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, accounting, or related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify billing data and resolve discrepancies prior to invoicing.
• Maintain customer billing records and account information.
• Research and resolve billing inquiries from customers and internal departments.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections efforts as needed.
• Process adjustments, credits, and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with accounting, sales, and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy.
• Generate billing reports and assist with month-end closing activities.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes and efficiency.
