Job summary

Unitil in Concord, NH is seeking a billing specialist to monitor and process monthly and final bills, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while coordinating with internal teams and client companies. You will work closely with the Department Supervisor and Manager, support training for team members, and help improve billing procedures to respond to customers efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent PC and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret Company tariffs, rules and regulations and similar documents.
• Ability to perform required responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner.
• Must have the ability to meet month-end deadlines and train others.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct all billing exceptions and monitor the monthly billing schedule.
• Communicate with client companies to ensure timely meter readings and billing.
• Provide training and support to Customer Relations and Credit Representatives.
• Prepare customer correspondence explaining charges and adjustments.
• Assist with improving billing processes and participate in annual rate reviews.
