Job summary

Apache Industrial Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to prepare, submit, and maintain customer invoices for multiple projects and regions in a high-volume environment. You will review contracts and service agreements to confirm billing terms, monitor invoice requests, and ensure accuracy in billing components and tax compliance.

The role collaborates with operations, Accounts Receivable, and customers to resolve billing questions, and supports month-end processes with accurate reporting

Qualifications

• 1+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
• Experience handling high-volume invoicing with accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon).
• Billing experience in engineering/construction industries (AIA pay apps, retainage).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and maintain customer invoices for assigned projects and regions.
• Review contracts, PO's, and service agreements to confirm billing terms.
• Monitor invoice requests and track project status to identify billable work.
• Apply cost components to ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain customer billing accounts and validate Tax IDs in the billing system.
• Generate invoices, credit memos, and debit memos.
• Submit invoices per customer requirements (email, portal, AIA pay apps).
• Perform billing adjustments and rate changes as needed.
• Ensure invoices comply with tax regulations and company policy.
• Reconcile billing records against contracts and POs.
• Investigate billing discrepancies with internal teams and customers.
