Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC seeks a Billing Specialist to join our growing team in Duluth or Minneapolis, MN with hybrid/remote options. You will manage invoicing, AR, and project metrics, partnering with project teams and clients to ensure timely billing and accurate reporting.

The role requires an associate’s degree in accounting or related field, strong Excel, Word, Adobe, and Power BI skills, and excellent communication with meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and PowerBI.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices for customers based on pricing and terms with supporting docs.
• Improve collections efficiency through strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Assist with project coordination from JNR/WO to closeout.
• Analyze unbilled revenue against PM progress and revenue recognition.
• Forecast with PMs including ETC/FTC, Sales Funnel, and Backlog data.
• Prepare the project margin analysis report.
• Track cost and schedule information for status reports.
• Interface with clients for collections, status updates, and ad hoc reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations for month-end close.
• Other tasks as assigned.
