Job summary

North Risk Partners in Mendota Heights, MN is seeking an Associate Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting tasks and learn our direct bill processes. You will assist with journal entries, balance sheets, and accounts payable/receivable, growing into more complex responsibilities under supervision.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor's degree, or associate's degree (Accounting degree preferred) and general knowledge of finance principles.
• General knowledge of local, state, and federal laws regarding accounting, finances, and taxation.
• Demonstrated technical accounting skills and ability to prioritize tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Support general accounting functions including journal entries and balance sheet schedules.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable, vendor bills, and reconciliations.
• Process daily journal entries and provide information for audits and internal controls.
