Job summary

RethinkFirst in Missouri is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session payments and posting payments in billing systems.

You will work with insurance companies, review EOBs/ERAs, ensure HIPAA confidentiality, and help maintain accurate accounts receivable while contributing to process improvements.

Experience with Azalea, Kareo, Waystar or similar billing platforms, plus attention to detail and strong communication, is desired.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience.
• Professional phone skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using insurance portals.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Kareo, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends to AR teams for client accounts.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
