Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a dedicated individual to support facility operations by maintaining business office systems and supervising staff. The role involves handling Medi-Cal/Medicaid authorizations, managing resident funds, and overseeing billing processes within a long-term care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and experience with nursing billing; proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment processes.
• Microsoft Office proficiency for administrative tasks.
• Preferable one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Obtain managed care and Medi-Cal or Medicaid authorizations including bedholds.
• Manage resident trust fund; print and distribute monthly statements.
• Supervise business office staff and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain census and report status changes.
• Assist with Medi-Cal or Medicaid applications.
• Assist with billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits.
• Pursue collection activity for bad debts.
• Schedule and assign employees and follow up on work results.
