Job summary

Relay, the Intelligent System of Action for the physical economy, is hiring a Billing Operations specialist to support quote-to-cash, accounts receivable, and contract accuracy from our Raleigh HQ. You will own payments application, drive timely collections, and collaborate across teams to improve billing processes.

The ideal candidate has a Finance-related degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a fast-growing,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Adept troubleshooter and customer service provider with external customers.
• Strong numbers and billing-related math skills with data-driven approach.
• Thoughtful and detail-oriented individual.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to customers with inquiries related to quote-to-cash and accounts receivable processes.
• Serve as a key operator within Relay's billing and collections operation, including outbound collection calls.
• Own timely application of customer payments and provide accurate account balances during collection.
• Assist with submission of customer orders and starting of service contracts accurately.
• Audit customer contracts to ensure accuracy with billing processes.
• Contribute to creditworthiness evaluations in line with Relay's policy.
• Report system defects and track their impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to share billing knowledge.
• Continuously update internal and external Billing Operations process documentation.
• Assist with recurring and ad hoc Corporate Finance cleanups.
• Identify process inefficiencies to drive improvements.
• Support other internal departments as needed.
