Job summary

Baker Donelson is seeking a Billing Manager to lead the Billing Team within Revenue Services. You will oversee the end-to-end billing process, ensure accuracy, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with attorneys and staff to optimize the revenue cycle.

The role emphasizes supervision and hands-on knowledge of billing operations, with goals of efficiency, accuracy, and exceptional internal client service. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Services.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the billing functions and legal billing cycles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• Experience with Aderant and Prebill Viewer.
• Previous law firm billing management experience.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Ability to work under pressure with or without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor, and lead the Billing team, establishing controls for quality and integrity of billing processes.
• Monitor workload distribution and overtime; work with Revenue Services to implement changes.
• Maintain hands-on knowledge of all billing functions for training and back-up.
• Oversee all Billing Department functions and ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor billings against budgets and liaise with Revenue Managers as needed.
• Conduct group and individual training for billing software users.
• Maintain billing training materials and presentations.
• Lead the Billing team with a results-focused approach.
• Review progress and analyze billing statistics.
