Job summary

The GBS Group in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Billing Clerk to join our Project Controls team. This role focuses on preparing, submitting, and tracking invoices for FPP, TM, and CPFF contracts, while updating accounts receivable notes and supporting expense reconciliations.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or math, is highly organized and detail oriented, and has experience with accounting systems. Competitive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or math preferred.
• Highly organized.
• Detail oriented.
• Experience in Business Central is a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Bi-weekly, monthly, and milestone creation of invoices in accounting system for approval on FPP, TM, and CPFF type contracts.
• Post approved invoices in accounting system, format invoice, compile/complete necessary documents required for submission (e.g. expense reports, timesheets, ecrafts, standard form), and submit invoices through email or portal depending on the contract requirements.
• Update notes on accounts receivable.
• With the help of Project Controllers, process expense reports and reconcile company paid-expenses.
