Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

• Generate, review and distribute pre-bills to appropriate billing attorneys
• Prepare, edit, and process bills ensuring they are in line with firm and client-specific guidelines
• Assist in gathering supporting documentation for client billing as needed
• Collaborate with attorneys, assistants and other firm personnel to meet client and firm deadlines
• Modify and finalize invoices, assist with complex billing, and handle billing-related issues with partners
• Review and process write-downs and transfers of time as approved by attorneys and the CFO
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Collections personnel to prevent and resolve billing errors
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and legal information
• Other duties and special projects as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail, be service oriented, well organized, and adaptable
• Ability to work well with individuals across all levels of the firm and perform well under pressure
• Ability to work independently and learn new tasks quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Candidate should possess a strong work ethic, flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• 3+ years’ equivalent experience in client billing at a law firm
• Proficient in Aderant or 3E, MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
