Job summary

Service Experts is seeking a Billing Specialist to support internal Operations by preparing, validating, and loading customer data into the MSD billing system. You will handle batch and payment processing, file transfers, and exception resolution while collaborating with multiple departments to meet service levels.

The role requires 2+ years in billing, strong communication skills, and a data-driven mindset. A BBA or related experience plus MS Office proficiency are essential.

• Minimum 2 years experience working with billing processes related to customer billing.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate reports from databases to produce, validate, and load customer origination data into billing systems.
• Prepare and execute Batch processing files, and Payment processes.
• File Transfer Management between internal and external vendors.
• Resolve exceptions and escalations by identifying root cause and implementing solutions.
• Interact with other departments to resolve escalations across channels.
• Liaison with vendors to enforce SLAs and establish partnerships.
• Conduct account research and support for Billing, Payment & Collections across systems.
• Prepare monthly Billing and Payment processing for Residential and Commercial customers.
• Create and maintain reports and reporting functions regularly.
• Periodic letter mailing and bill messaging for regular or emergency situations.
• Support process improvement and drive change initiatives.
• Develop SME capability within internal systems and services.
• Maintain up-to-date internal process documentation.
• Assist other departments to achieve service levels and project objectives.
• Lead or participate in projects as assigned.
• Perform similar duties as needed.
