Job summary

Routeware, Inc. is seeking a Billing Staff Accountant to support the finance team during growth and acquisitions. The role focuses on invoicing, billing disputes, and accurate financial record-keeping to ensure timely financial statements.

Ideal candidates will have GAAP knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-growing environment with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business or related field required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in middle-market companies.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial processes.
• Experience with enterprise accounting software and MS Office.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Generate customer invoices accurately and timely.
• Research and resolve billing disputes.
• Input data into accounting system and balance records.
• Post general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Assist monthly close and prepare close reports.
• Document accounting controls and procedures.
• Support financial analysis and reporting for management.
• Provide docs for tax advisors and audits.
• Assist in accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with other departments on accounting policies.
