Job summary

Edward Mann is seeking a Staff Accountant with Suite Billing exposure to join our fast-growing finance team in Ashburn, VA. You’ll strengthen financial operations, support a NetSuite implementation, and help scale the systems and processes that will drive our next growth phase.

Working closely with the Controller and cross‑functional partners, you’ll improve ERP processes, perform monthly closes, reconciliations, and reporting, and assist with audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience with NetSuite Suite Billing is ideal.
• Solid understanding of month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

Staff Accountant (Suite Billing experience ideal)

We're looking for a Staff Accountant ideally with some Suite Billing exposure. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants to do more than traditional accounting. You'll play a key role in strengthening our financial operations, supporting a NetSuite implementation, and helping scale the systems and processes that will support the next stage of our growth.

Working closely with the Controller and cross-functional business partners, you'll help drive process improvements, optimize our ERP environment, and ensure accurate financial reporting while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

What You’ll Do

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and subscription billing operations.
• Maintain accurate customer contracts, billing schedules, and related financial records.
• Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to streamline accounting workflows and improve business processes.
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and ad hoc analysis.
• Play an active role in our NetSuite implementation and ongoing optimization, including testing, process documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT), system configuration support, and end-user training.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve the scalability of our finance function.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with NetSuite Suite Billing (ideal but not essential)
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working alongside implementation partners, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of revenue recognition and recurring subscription business models.
• Experience in a SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business.
• Process improvement mindset with a passion for building scalable financial operations.
