Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a bilingual dispatcher to communicate with drivers, respond to service orders, schedule routing, and complete daily routing dump and crew data entry. You will distribute information to driver teams as needed.

Essential duties include assigning routes, monitoring daily workloads, resolving issues before they affect service, and maintaining accurate records in Tower and Trackese. Strong phone skills and MS Office proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related work experience.
• Experience in waste, transportation, or logistics preferred.
• Previous customer service in a call center environment preferred.
• Good telephone and 2-way radio skills; courteous and professional with internal and external customers.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office and typing skills.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure; able to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; work well independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contact between drivers and home base; dispatch drivers to calls based on customer needs, locations, loads and daily factors.
• Assign routes and service tickets to drivers; close tickets daily.
• Plan and monitor daily route assignments for residential, roll-off and commercial drivers to meet service standards.
• Troubleshoot delivery issues; communicate changes to drivers and customers; coordinate with Sales staff.
