First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality service, processing bank transactions, opening deposit accounts, and guiding clients to digital tools.

You will engage clients to identify financial needs, open accounts, process loan applications, and support sales and relationship management while maintaining compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of banking, sales, or related experience.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at time of employment via NMLS.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bank products across lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing a wide range of banking needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend appropriate products and digital solutions.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications.
• Educate clients on electronic banking and enroll them in digital tools.
• Document and manage client interactions using CRM and sales tools.
• Balance cash and process routine branch transactions while adhering to controls.
• Ensure compliance with BSA, OFAC, CIP, EDD, and information security standards.
