Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks a dedicated Clinician to support emotional wellness for children and youth in its La Jornada program. You will provide assessments, counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention, aiming for safe, community-based reunification with sponsor families.

You will collaborate with foster families and community partners, manage a clinical caseload, and travel to service sites as required, while adhering to program guidelines and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related behavioral discipline.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure; plan to attain licensure within 3 years.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency.
• Proficient use of computers and common software.
• Willingness to work flexible/extended hours and on-call as needed.
• Must be able to travel up to 25–30% to work with families.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed mental health services, including assessments and referrals.
• Conduct mental health assessments and provide individual and group counseling.
• Facilitate family sessions and coordinate with foster caregivers.
• Travel to community and foster care sites as required.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload and meet service delivery thresholds.
• Document client progress and treatment planning in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure safety planning and crisis intervention when needed.
