Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a clinician to make a meaningful difference for children, youth and families. The role involves assessments, counseling, advocacy, and mental health stabilization to support reunification with sponsor families and safe community living.

You will collaborate with foster caregivers, youth, and community partners, and provide on-site services with an active clinical caseload. Travel may be required to deliver services in the community.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master's or Doctorate in a behavioral field.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure; non-licensed staff must pursue licensure within 3 years of employment date.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required to serve children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments, counseling, advocacy, mental health stabilization and support toward unification with a sponsor family.
• Collaborate with cross-functional service team to provide trauma-informed mental health services.
• Provide child-facing services on-site.
• Maintain an active clinical caseload per program ratio and meet service delivery thresholds.
• Conduct mental health assessments; provide individual and group counseling; crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate family sessions and travel for community-based services as needed.
• Complete required documentation and training in a timely manner.
• Screen for human trafficking concerns and provide crisis intervention.
