Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program seeks a Clinician for La Jornada to provide trauma-informed mental health services, including assessments, counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention. You will work with children, youth, foster families, and community partners to support safety, stability, and reunification goals.

The role requires a Master's or Doctorate in a behavioral field, licensure or eligibility, and bilingual English/Spanish, with travel to community sites as needed and a flexible

Qualifications

• Master's or doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or related behavioral discipline.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure; non-licensed staff must be working towards licensure within 3 years.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve children and families.
• Proficient with desktop and laptop computers, internet, and standard software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and possible on-call nights/weekends.
• Travel up to 25–30% to unification efforts with families.

Responsibilities

• Perform work aligned with NYAP mission, values, and philosophies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to provide trauma-informed mental health services.
• Provide on-site child-facing services and maintain an active clinical caseload.
• Conduct mental health assessments and provide counseling, crisis intervention as needed.
• Facilitate family sessions and coordinate travel to foster caregiver sites as required.
• Complete documentation and ensure productivity thresholds are met.
