Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) seeks a licensed clinician for La Jornada to deliver trauma-informed mental health services, assessments, and counseling to children and youth. Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral discipline.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure; staff must pursue licensure within 3 years.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve children and families.
• Proficient in desktop and laptop computers, internet search, and standard software.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends and travel up to 25–30%.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed mental health services, assessments, and counseling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to identify and address human trafficking concerns.
• Carry an active clinical caseload and meet service delivery thresholds.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Travel to provide community-based services to youth and families.
• Document and communicate client status and treatment needs to stakeholders.
