Job summary

DeKalb Health is seeking a Trainer to support onboarding and ongoing training focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. You will deliver classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training and coordinate with departmental leadership to ensure proper documentation and development.

Responsibilities include coaching, evaluating performance, and aligning SOPs with training needs while promoting a positive learning environment across shifts. Strong bilingual communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in training.
• Courteous and professional verbal and written communication.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Proficient with computers and MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to present and speak in front of large groups.
• Willing to rotate between positions and shifts as needed.
• Represent LPP in alignment with company values.

Responsibilities

• Conduct classroom, hands-on, and on-the-job training for new hires and transfers.
• Observe tasks, evaluate safety, efficiency, and independence.
• Provide coaching and follow-up to reinforce learning and competency.
• Execute SOPs through training, coaching, and assessments with leadership.
• Perform mandatory safety audits to ensure a safe work environment.
• Support onboarding, qualification, transfers, and cross-training processes.
• Serve as liaison among Training and Development, HR and operations.
