Metropolitan Family Service in Gresham, OR is seeking a Bilingual Client Facilitator for a temporary, limited duration role. The position supports the CASH Oregon tax site, handling client intake, check-in, and interpretation to assist Spanish-speaking clients and volunteers.

The role requires fluent English and Spanish, strong customer service, confidentiality, and teamwork. Hours vary weekly (16–30) and the work is on site at the civic office in Gresham.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking of both English and Spanish required.
• Excellent customer service skills for diverse populations under pressure.
• Skilled in de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed care principles.
• Strong interpersonal communication and interpretation skills.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Time management and organizational skills; adapt to changing priorities.
• Proficient with computers, Google Suite, and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen tax clients; check-in and guide flow at the site.
• Provide clear Spanish-English interpretation for client interactions.
• Assist volunteer preparers by interpreting communications.
• Respond to inquiries and provide resource referrals in English & Spanish.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records and data entry.
• Support site operations and coordination across the tax site.
• Assist with waiting area organization and volunteer support as needed.
