Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Le Mars, IA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts, and will lead the team to provide outstanding service to both retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Must have sales-focused training and management certifications.
• Certifications related to parts, service, and leadership are preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels and execute customer service programs.
• Staff the showroom during peak hours and shifts when the manager is absent.
• Assist in hiring, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure orders, returns, and invoicing are processed accurately and timely.
• Oversee money handling, deposits, and security procedures.
• Maintain store appearance, signage, lighting, and overall upkeep.
• Perform opening/closing duties and ensure compliance with policies.
