Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in California is seeking a store leadership role to guide team members in delivering excellent customer service and driving sales across the showroom. The position requires coordinating staffing during peak hours and coaching staff to hit goals while ensuring training is up to date.

The role also involves recruiting tasks, coordinating with management, and handling a variety of store operations from POS to returns.

Qualifications

• Sales specialist training and management certifications required.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the showroom and execute service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure the retail sales counter is staffed during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
• Assist the store manager with coaching, goals, training, and ensuring team members are current on training.
• Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
• Answer telephone in accordance with company policy.
• Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders are processed timely and customers contacted on shipment arrivals.
• Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed efficiently and refunds issued using correct payment methods.
• Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks.
• Ensure team members comply with policies, schedule adherence, and clocking in/out.
• Perform opening/closing duties, end-of-day cash handling, deposits, and security checks.
• Maintain store building, parking lot, signage/lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
